Creekside Middle School educates approximately 1,400 students in grades six through eight. We are proud of our diverse and dynamic school population. Our school is fully accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. The school is also a National Blue Ribbon Award and Four Star School recipient. Staff members participate in a wide-range of professional development activities that focus on both academic and social-emotional growth of the students. Many members of the staff have presented at local, national, and international educational seminars. Creekside's test scores consistently rank the school in the top three middle schools in Indiana. In 2023, Creekside's ILearn scores were again the best in the state among all public middle schools.

Creekside is part of the Carmel Clay Schools District and--along with two other middle schools, a high school, and eleven elementary schools--serves the city of Carmel and the township of Clay in southwestern Hamilton County, Indiana, just north of Indianapolis. Feeder schools are West Clay Elementary, College Wood Elementary, Clay Center and Towne Meadow Elementary. Our campus is located on the fast-growing western side of Carmel near the Michigan Road corridor.

In addition to two counselors, two student service coordinators, a media specialist, nurse, and four administrators, the professional staff at Creekside includes over 70 classroom teachers. A plethora of other employees in a range of clerical, custodial, food service, technical, and other support positions rounds out the staff.

Creekside Middle School was built in 2004 and opened its doors to students for the 2004/05 school year. Creekside is central to the West Campus facilities of Carmel Clay Schools. The school includes three academic houses, a media center, three gymnasiums, and a 500 seat auditorium. The campus includes West Clay Elementary and College Wood Elementary, the CCS West Bus Depot, football stadium, tennis courts, track, soccer, baseball and softball fields and a pond with trails.

Creekside Middle School is committed to academic and personal excellence for each student. We believe in an education that values integrity, self-reliance, and strength of character and that instills high personal expectations and self-confidence in every child. Through mutual respect, we will build a sense of community and belonging for all.
