Barbara Hill, RN
My name is Barbara Hill, and I am the nurse at Forest Dale. I have been a registered nurse for 30+ years.
My background includes hospital pediatrics, many years in two MD offices, and 12 years of school nursing.
I have been married for 41 years and have two married daughters with four grandchildren.
School nursing is a unique way to meet the health needs of children and be a resource for parents alike. It is very rewarding for me to be able to help guide our children along life’s path in a healthy way.
I hope you feel free to call or stop by anytime!
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, keeping hands clean is one of the most important ways to prevent the spread of infection and illness.
When washing hands with soap and water:
1. Wet your hands with warm water.
2. Apply a generous amount of soap.
3. Rub your hands together for 20 seconds.
4. Rinse your hands.
5. Dry your hands with a paper towel.
6. Use the paper towel to turn off the faucet and open the door.
If soap and clean water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub to clean your hands. Alcohol-based hand rubs significantly reduce the number of germs on skin and are fast-acting.
When using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer:
1. Apply product to the palm of one hand.
2. Rub hands together.
3. Rub the product over all surfaces of hands and fingers until hands are dry.
Always wash your hands after using the bathroom, after changing diapers, after cleaning the toilet, after handling anything soiled with stool and before eating and preparing food.
