Carmel High School Celebrates 219 Students Earning AP Capstone Diploma

Carmel, IN – Carmel High School proudly announces that 219 students have earned the AP Capstone Diploma for the 2024-25 school year. This recognition reflects the school’s commitment to academic excellence and preparing students for success beyond high school.

The AP Capstone Diploma is a rigorous, project-based program that challenges students to develop research, critical thinking, collaboration, and presentation skills. Students completing the program engage in multi-year scholarly research and demonstrate mastery in AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional Advanced Placement courses of their choice.

“Congratulations to our 219 students for earning the AP Capstone Diploma,” said Dr. Tim Phares, principal of Carmel High School. “Through dedication, curiosity, and the guidance of our exceptional teachers, these students have not only met a high academic standard but also gained skills that will serve them well in college and in life.”

This recognition follows the 211 students who received the AP Capstone Diploma at Carmel High School last year, continuing a tradition of strong academic achievement. During the 2024-25 school year, CHS students explored a wide range of research topics and completed projects requiring perseverance, creativity, and critical thinking.

Carmel High School remains a leader in academic excellence, offering opportunities that challenge students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and communicate with impact. The AP Capstone Diploma program is one of many avenues through which CHS students demonstrate their readiness for college and meaningful careers.
