Freshman Scheduling & Academic Transition Information

STEP #1

Watch the Freshman Welcome Video. Many of your commonly asked questions will be answered, and you can get to know the Freshman Counseling team!

STEP #2

Read the entire FAQ document! We advise students and families read through the Frequently Asked Questions to better understand the Freshman year schedule as well as expectations and considerations BEFORE choosing specific courses.  

STEP #3

Families will use Canvas for all scheduling and incoming CHS information. Again, please watch the welcome video and read the FAQs then login to Canvas to fully explore the available resources and directions for scheduling. 

Step #4

Join for us Academic Transition Night on January 13, 2025 from 5:30pm to 8pm! 

If you are not able to attend Academic Transition Night, all of the information can be found in the Canvas course. If you still feel like you have questions after you’ve done this, feel free to email your child’s freshman counselor.

Academic Transition Night Open House
Monday, January 13, 2025
5:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Freshman Counselors will be available all evening in Greyhound Station cafeteria to answer student-specific questions. Families are encouraged to please thoroughly review provided documents and resources before attending Academic Transition Night to best understand the scheduling process and course requirements.

8th Grade Private School Enrollment at CHS

Families are invited to attend Academic Transition Night to learn more. There will be an opportunity to sign up for enrollment appointments with Freshman Center Counselors held on February 19 and 20.
