2026 - 2027 CHS Welcome Week

Access CHS by utilizing Main Street (Enter Doors 1, 7, 13) or Smoky Row (Enter Door 21).

• Main Cafeteria Registration: Complete the Back-to-School checklist to be ready for the first day of school. 

• Get Comfortable Navigating CHS: Start from your morning drop-off spot, walk your schedule, and take time to explore key areas of the school. Student volunteers will be here to help you find your way.  Look for their bright badges.
• Parent and Student Workshops: Our parent and student workshops are here to help you feel confident, informed, and excited for the school year. Check the schedule and choose the sessions that work best for you.
• PTO & Spirit Wear: Visit the PTO Hub in the Main Office Commons: Stop by to join the PTO, grab CHS spirit gear, and ask any questions you have. Learn how the PTO supports you and your student, explore volunteer opportunities, and find out how to get connected. Don’t forget to pick up your Greyhound Experience Blue/Gold Calendar, CHS decals, and more!

  • Tuesday, August 4: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday, August 5: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Thursday, August 6: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Monday, August 10: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Students are no longer allowed to bring their own personal devices to school. To alleviate long lines for tech support on the first few days of school, we encourage all students to bring their school-issued Chromebook to the Carmel High School Media Center during Welcome Week. Students will have the opportunity to: 

• Exchange HP G6 Chromebook for an updated model. 

• Verify connectivity with the CCS Wi-Fi and install necessary updates.

• Address any issues with school-issued Chromebook prior to the first day of school.

On their assigned registration day, students should complete the following items:

✔ Pose for their school picture - no hats or face coverings please!
✔ Receive a school ID
✔ Obtain a parking permit (student drivers only - please complete the request form in PowerSchool BEFORE attending Welcome Week)
✔ Get assistance with annual enrollment through PowerSchool (parents only)
✔ Purchase All-Sports Pass 
✔ Learn their lunch schedule and locker location
✔ Complete a Chromebook systems check
✔ Pick up class schedule (available at Welcome Week before schedules are released in PowerSchool on August 6)
