About

Clay Middle School, a state-recognized Four-Star School, is located in Carmel, Indiana, just north of Indianapolis. We seek to celebrate our diverse population, which includes students from 34 different countries this year and challenge all students to find their greatness.

We believe in working closely with parents and our entire community to ensure that our students are being prepared for the future. Performing Arts, STEM, computer science, journalism, robotics, art and world language are just a few of the courses that supplement our core curriculum and allow students to explore and find their interests. Our student scores on ISTEP+ are consistently among the very best in the state.

Our staff includes over 70 certified teachers, two counselors, two social workers, school psychologist, nurse, media specialist, instructional coach, and over 25 support staff. As a staff, our commitment each day is to inspire others to greatness.
