Athletics

The Athletic Department is committed to maintaining the highest level of respect and excellence established by the Carmel Clay School system. The Clay Athletic Department strives to create an environment that promotes and supports academics, athletics, school pride, and personal achievement. Coaches, sponsors, staff, and administrative personnel work with the local community to support children in becoming better students, athletes, and citizens as well as preparing students for the next level of academics and extracurricular activities.

The Clay Middle School Athletics Department would like to extend an invitation to all students to get involved in the many interscholastic athletic programs offered. Extracurricular activities provide students with opportunities to develop life skills such as respect, responsibility, time management, teamwork, leadership, organization, and self-discipline. Participation in extracurricular activities will enhance a student’s overall experience at Clay Middle School.

The Clay Athletic Department is excited to work with families in the shared responsibility of educating, supporting, and developing each individual child in their quest to “Find Their Greatness.” Please support us in reinforcing the concept that academic responsibilities are of the utmost importance.

I would also like to ask you to consider becoming a Clay Athletic Parent Booster Member. Donations from supporters will provide a major portion of the funds to operate the athletics program since tax revenues cannot be used for most athletic expenses. Your support will be greatly appreciated by all the student-athletes at Clay Middle School.

Sincerely,

John Corcoran

Tickets

Admission is charged for football, volleyball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, wrestling, softball, baseball, and track. The collection of admission serves as a primary source of revenue for the athletics department. The state of Indiana, unlike surrounding states, provides tax dollars only for coaches’ salaries, building the facilities, and transportation. No tax dollars are used for the purchase of equipment (balls, hurdles, nets, helmets, etc.).

Admission price for regular season contests is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. An all-sports pass is available for your convenience. The cost is $50 for an adult and $30 for a student. Another option is to purchase a Family Pass for $125. The Family Pass enables members of the same household to each have a Family Pass for the school year and be admitted to all regular season athletic contests. No sports passes are accepted for Hamilton County tournaments.

Parent Booster

The athletics department invites you to become a Parent Booster by making a donation of $20 or more. You'll have your name printed in our athletic programs. The Clay Middle School student athletes would like to this opportunity to thank our Parent Boosters for your donation to our athletic program. We truly appreciate your support!
