Nurse
School nursing, a specialized practice of nursing, protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success. School nurses, grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, are the leaders who bridge health care and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop their full potential.
My name is Julie Dickson, and I am the school nurse at Clay Middle School. I am a 2014 graduate of Anderson University and have spent most of my nursing career in the psychiatric field. I have a huge passion for mental health and am excited to provide holistic care for all of our students.
I grew up in Carmel, IN, and even attended Clay many years ago. I am thrilled to pour back into the community that helped me become the nurse I am today. I have 2 dogs and enjoy visiting new coffee shops, being outside, and traveling globally.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Our nursing office hours are M-F 8:10 to 3:35.
