The Creekside News Bureau is the outlet for student created news. Students in news production, yearbook, and digital media create the content.

Creekside is one of just a few middle schools in the state to win awards from the Indiana High School Press Association & the Journalism Education Association.

The 2024 Prowl staff earned 6 Honor Roll Awards from the IHSPA.

The 2024 Prowl yearbook, titled "Glow" was featured in Varsity Yearbooks Portfolio book.

The 2023 Prowl staff earned 8 Honor Roll Awards from the IHSPA.

Infographics: 1st Place and 2nd Place

In 2022 the Creekside yearbook won IHSPA first place awards for graphic design, theme development, and design portfolios.

In 2022. Creekside yearbook earned "Portfolio: Best Of" distinction from Herff Jones, meaning that the book is in the Top Ten Percent of all Herff Jones yearbooks. Examples from our book were published in the 2021-22 edition of Herff Jones Portfolio.

The 2022 Prowl staff earned 6 Honor Roll Awards from the IHSPA.

In 2021 The Vibe earned "Excellent" Hoosier Star Finalist status from the IHSPA as one of the Top Social Media/Web news feeds in the State of Indiana.

In 2020 the Prowl was named as one of the Top 20 yearbooks (Hoosier Star) in the State of Indiana by the IHSPA.

The 2020 Prowl staff earned 16 Honor Roll Awards from the IHSPA.

The 2019 Prowl earned and "Excellent" rating from the IHSPA and placed as one of the Top 8 yearbooks in Division 2.

The 2019 Prowl was awarded First Place in Division 2 for Social Media by IHSPA.

The 2019 Prowl was awarded Second Place for Writing, and Third Place for Photography for Division 2 by IHSPA.

The 2019 Yearbook Editors won Indiana High School Press Association Honor Awards.

The 2019 Yearbook Staff was honored with a 2019 JEA National Superior Sports Writing Award, and won two National Honorable Mentions in the categories of Theme Package and Writing.

The 2018 Prowl was awarded an IHSPA Harvey Award for Outstanding Writing in Division 2.

The 2018 Prowl was added to the Walsworth Publishing Gallery of Excellence and featured in their idea book, Possibilities, Volume 8.

Student Magazine

The student news product is The Creekside Vibe Online Magazine. The magazine is produced within newspaper and yearbook classes.

Students view the magazine through a Canvas portal provided by their teams.

The Vibe also provides content via Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter feeds.
