SCHOOL DISMISSAL MANAGER:

ATTENDANCE: Report absences or late arrivals prior to 8:00 am (8:40 am for late start). For pre-arranged absences of 2 days or more, please complete this absence form in addition to School Dismissal Manager. 

LEAVING EARLY: Add an exception in School Dismissal Manager and select, "Leaving Early." Indicate if your child will be returning to school or leaving for the day. Bring your picture identification into the office to sign out your child. We are unable to call students to the office prior to your arrival.

DISMISSAL: Complete any changes to your child's default dismissal no later than 1:30 pm on the date of the change. We are not able to make changes after that time.To change your child's default dismissal, please contact the office.

ILEARN SUMMATIVE TESTING:

ILEARN Summative Testing for Grades 3-5 will begin Monday, April 20th. The ILEARN Summative includes more assessments than the Checkpoints, so it will span over a course of 5-8 days, depending on the grade level. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.

CCS INTENT TO RETURN:

As we look forward to the 2026-2027 school year, we are already hard at work preparing the best possible environment for our students. To ensure we have the appropriate staffing and programming in place, we are asking current families to confirm their plans for next year.

On April 13, you will receive an email from Carmel Clay Schools asking you to complete an Intent to Return form in PowerSchool. Please be sure to complete this form for each of your children by April 30.

CWE PLACEMENT REQUEST:

The College Wood staff is committed to ensuring every student has a successful and exciting learning experience. To achieve this, we dedicate significant time and careful consideration to the class placement of every child.

While we do not accept requests for specific teachers, we value your perspective on your child’s unique needs. If you would like to share insights that will assist us in making the best placement decision, please complete this Placement Request form by Friday, April 24.

2026-2027 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:

Registration for incoming kindergarteners for the 2026-2027 school year is now open. Please spread the word to your neighbors, friends and family! Early registration allows CCS to prepare for staffing needs and also gives incoming kindergarteners a chance to attend upcoming kindergarten screenings and tours.

• Tuesday, March 31 | 4:00–8:00 PM at Fundae's in the Village of West Clay

• Our very own CWE staff will be there from 4:00–7:00 PM scoping ice cream!

• A portion of the proceeds will be donated directly back to College Wood.
