SCHOOL DISMISSAL MANAGER:

ATTENDANCE: Report absences or late arrivals prior to 8:00 am (8:40 am for late start). For pre-arranged absences of 2 days or more, please complete this absence form in addition to School Dismissal Manager. 

LEAVING EARLY: Add an exception in School Dismissal Manager and select, "Leaving Early." Indicate if your child will be returning to school or leaving for the day. Bring your picture identification into the office to sign out your child. We are unable to call students to the office prior to your arrival.

DISMISSAL: Complete any changes to your child's default dismissal no later than 1:30 pm on the date of the change. We are not able to make changes after that time.To change your child's default dismissal, please contact the office.

NEWS FROM THE CLINIC:

It's nose bleed season! If your child is getting winter nosebleeds, here are some measures to take to prevent them:

• Use a humidifier in your child's bedroom at night
• Keep their nasal passages moist - you can use a small amount of petroleum jelly inside their nose and/or use daily saline sprays
• Stay hydrated!
• Avoid nose picking, or blowing noses too forcefully
• Wear a scarf or mask over the nose when outside

The clinic is also in need of gently used clothing. Please see the link below for details. Donations can be sent to the clinic anytime.

ILEARN TESTING DATES:

Please see the updated CWE testing windows for ILEARN Checkpoints and the ILEARN Summative. More information and specific schedules for grade levels will be forthcoming.

• Checkpoint 2 – During the week of January 12-13
• Checkpoint 3 – During the week of March 23-24
• Summative — Testing window will be April 16-29

Penguin Patch Holiday Shop

• Monday Dec 1st-Friday Dec 5th
• Students will visit the Penguin Patch during class time.
• If your child would like to shop, please send in the order form with money on their shopping day.
• No pressure to shop! Students who choose not to participate will enjoy a fun craft instead.

HOLIDAY LIGHTS RECYCLING DRIVE:

Did you know that all parts of old or broken holiday lights can be recycled? The CWE Green Team is collected used or broken lights for recycling from now until January 9th. There are bins in the vestibule and foyer in front of the office.
