SCHOOL DISMISSAL MANAGER:

ATTENDANCE: Report absences or late arrivals prior to 8:00 am (8:40 am for late start). For pre-arranged absences of 2 days or more, please complete this absence form in addition to School Dismissal Manager. 

LEAVING EARLY: Add an exception in School Dismissal Manager and select, "Leaving Early." Indicate if your child will be returning to school or leaving for the day. Bring your picture identification into the office to sign out your child. We are unable to call students to the office prior to your arrival.

DISMISSAL: Complete any changes to your child's default dismissal no later than 1:30 pm on the date of the change. We are not able to make changes after that time.To change your child's default dismissal, please contact the office.

CWE RILEY FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER:

Student Council will host a fundraiser benefiting the Riley Children’s Foundation from February 9–13. A donation link is below for CWE use.

YEARBOOK ORDERS:

It's time to order your 2025-26 yearbook!  Yearbooks are $18 each and will be delivered to students during the last week of school.

CHROMEBOOK REMINDERS:

  • Chromebooks should be charged at home and ready for use at school each day.
  • Each student has been issued a Chromebook charger. However, if a replacement is needed, chargers may be purchased in the office for $20.
  • Please remember that stickers, labels, tape, etc. should not be added to Chromebooks.

  • A much-requested feature of our website is now available!
  • In the lower left of any district webpage, utilize the NEW chatbot to find quick and easy answers to your questions or locate information.

FUN CLUB REMINDERS:

As we wrap up our Fun Clubs, please take a moment to double-check your calendars! We want to ensure everyone is set for our final sessions, including the scheduled make-up dates.

Here is the remaining schedule:

  • Tuesday Fun Clubs:
    • February 10
    • February 17 (Make-up for the 1/20 school closure)
  • Wednesday Fun Clubs:
    • February 11
    • February 18 (Make-up for the 1/21 school closure)
  • Thursday Fun Clubs:
    • February 12 (Final session for all except BreakoutEDU*; no make-up date needed)
    • February 19 (Make-up for ONLY BreakoutEDU with Mrs Schneider for the 2/5 cancellation)

Please be sure to update your child's exceptions in School Dismissal Manager to reflect these dates.

2026-2027 CCS KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:

Registration for incoming kindergarteners for the 2026-2027 school year is now open. Please spread the word to your neighbors, friends and family! Early registration allows CCS to prepare for staffing needs and also gives incoming kindergarteners a chance to attend upcoming kindergarten screenings. 


 

PTO NEWS:

Bakers Events: Please Help!

  • Due to the snow/e-learning days, we are combining 2 Baker's events this month: Pizza Day and Chocolate Day, "Slice and Sweet," and "Let Them Eat Cake (and cheese)" on Monday, February 9th.  Please sign-up on MTK Here.

  • There is also a Baker's event, Chili Day, "Chili and Cheers," on  Thursday February 26th!  Sign up on MTK Here.

  • Join us on Friday, February 13th at 6:30 pm at CWE
  • Tickets are not needed; this event is free to all CWE students and families
  • Come see your friends and classmates as they share their dances, songs, comedy acts, and more! 

 


Dine-to-Donate:​​​​​​​

  • The Dine to Donate event at Chuy’s, scheduled for Wednesday February 18th, has been cancelled.

 


PTO General Meeting: Save the Date​​​​​​​

  • Join us for the next PTO General Meeting on March 5th at 6:30 pm at College Wood.
  • Dr. Thomas Oestreich, our CCS superintendent, will be our guest speaker.
