SCHOOL DISMISSAL MANAGER:

ATTENDANCE: Report absences or late arrivals prior to 8:00 am (8:40 am for late start). For pre-arranged absences of 2 days or more, please complete this absence form in addition to School Dismissal Manager. 

LEAVING EARLY: Add an exception in School Dismissal Manager and select, "Leaving Early." Indicate if your child will be returning to school or leaving for the day. Bring your picture identification into the office to sign out your child. We are unable to call students to the office prior to your arrival.

DISMISSAL: Complete any changes to your child's default dismissal no later than 1:30 pm on the date of the change. We are not able to make changes after that time.To change your child's default dismissal, please contact the office.

ILEARN UPDATES:

ILEARN Checkpoint 2 Results for Math and Language Arts are now available in the Indiana Assessment Family Portal using your student's access code.  For directions on how to access your student's code in your PowerSchool Parent Portal, please see the following Indiana Assessments Family Portal Directions


NEWS FROM THE CLINIC:

If your child has borrowed a change of clothes, please remember to wash and return the clothes to the clinic. We purchase new undergarments for the clinic so there is no need to wash and return underwear or socks.


LOST & FOUND CLEAN OUT:

Our Lost & Found is overflowing with winter items. If your student is missing a coat, sweatshirt, water bottle or other items, please be sure to have them check the Lost & Found by Friday, March 6. Unclaimed items after that date will be donated to charity.


FOOD SERVICES STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK:

During the week of March 9-13, please join us in thanking our CWE Cafe Staff for the excellent work that they do each day! A special shout out to our cafeteria manager, Mrs. Sharon Odom, and staff members: Ms. Nadia Cesar, Ms. Lori Huang, Mrs. TG Kim, Ms. Lauren Pan, and Mrs. Linda Richardson.


YEARBOOK ORDERS:

Don't forget to order your 2025-26 yearbook!  Yearbooks are $18 each and will be delivered to students during the last week of school.

CULTURE OF CARE WEEK:

Culture of Care week is an annual Carmel Clay Schools tradition coming the week of March 16. In conjunction with this, our Student Council has planned fun dress-up themes each day:

  • Monday, March 16 – Emotional WellnessDress to Express! Wear something that reflects your mood, emotions, or personality.
  • Tuesday, March 17 – Environmental Wellness: Wear green to show your support for the environment.
  • Wednesday, March 18 – Physical Wellness: Rock your favorite workout wear to highlight the importance of staying active.
  • Thursday, March 20 – Social Wellness: It’s School Spirit Day—show your pride!
  • Friday, March 21 – Intellectual Wellness: Wrap up the week by wearing Blue and Gold to celebrate learning and Carmel spirit!

Join us each day as we focus on different ways to support a healthy mind, body, and community! šŸ’™


PUP RUNNING FOR 4TH & 5TH GRADERS:

Pup Running track is coming soon!

  • Registration will open the first week of March.
  • Registration will close April 1st (no late registration).
  • Practices begin immediately following spring break with dates TBD.
  • There will be 3 meets:
    • Meet #1: April 29
    • Meet #2: May 5
    • Meet #3: May 14

CREEKSIDE WRESTLING PACK THE HOUSE:

Do you have an interest in becoming a wrestler for the Creekside Wildcats? If the answer is “yes” or “I’m not sure” then we encourage you and your parents to join us for the Creekside Wildcats’ “Pack the House” Night on Tuesday, March 3rd at 5:30 pm in the south gym. Admission is free to elementary students and their parents. There will be several prizes given away including gift cards to your favorite places!

2026-2027 CCS KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:

Registration for incoming kindergarteners for the 2026-2027 school year is now open. Please spread the word to your neighbors, friends and family! Early registration allows CCS to prepare for staffing needs and also gives incoming kindergarteners a chance to attend upcoming kindergarten screenings and tours.
