Our Purpose

One of the oldest foundations of its kind, the Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) was created to help Carmel Clay students achieve their full potential. As a partner of Carmel Clay Schools, CEF works closely with school leaders to align programming and grants with district goals and learning objectives. 

Our Impact

Since 1966, the Foundation has awarded over $2,500,000 in college scholarships to Carmel High School seniors and nearly $1,000,000 in education grants to over 1,000 teachers and district leaders to fuel innovation and inspire creative learning. CEF funding helps to fill the gaps between state and federal funding and out of pocket expenses by teachers and families. 

Our Leadership

CEF is governed by a volunteer board of directors, representing a variety of industries, who give their time and energy to accelerate the Foundation's mission by expanding the resources of Carmel Clay Schools. One full-time staff member supports the operations. Carmel Clay Schools provides office space and operational support.
