Mohawk Trails is expanding their WONDER through books funded by Everwise Foundation!
Inspiring Readers With Wonderbooks - MOHAWK TRAILS ELEMENTARY
Grant Recipients: Katie Davis, Catherine Pearsall, Stacy Aldea
Audiobooks strengthen students' vocabulary, background knowledge, working memory, and comprehension, while graphic novels improve students' inferential thinking and build schema. Wonderbooks combine the two formats into one portable audiobook-book hybrid. With this grant, Mohawk Trails students are able to have access to a new resource that will grow their reading skills.
Media Specialist, Katie Davis (pictured on right) - was so excited to use these books with students! Jenn Penix, CEF executive director was able to visit 1st Grade teacher, Jennifer Marshall-Aletto's classroom to learn more about this grant and see it in action.
