The Rise & Grow program is a resource to benefit carmel clay School families who have a student in need of mental or behavioral health treatment but do not have the full financial capacity to pay for Therapy beyond what is provided at a school level. The rise and grow program also provides access to education about relevant health and wellness issues to all families and caregivers to increase awareness, support, and positive action.
program FACTS:
- Students who benefit from the Rise and Grow Program are referred by a licensed counseling professional who works in the Carmel Clay school that the child attends. Students receive services through organizations such as Ascension St. Vincent Stress Center or the JRNY Counseling Center.
- Recommended services have been determined as being essential to the student's growth and/or recovery process to help them thrive in school and home environments.
- Counseling referrals have been steadily increasing since the COVID-19 pandemic - many are based on family trauma, anxiety, stress, suicidal ideation, and depression - all of which are at a national all-time high for children between the ages of 5 and 18.
- The Rise and Grow Program fills the gap between what a family can reasonably pay for essential mental and behavioral health services to benefit their child, and the actual cost per the provider.
- Recognizing that the relationship between families/caregivers, the student, and their educators is a critical part of effective therapy progression, the Rise and Grow Program provides access to education, information, and resources for this support.
- Education resources focused on overall wellness, current trends, and actionable support is available for all Carmel Clay families, not just those who have a child in therapy.
- The Rise and Grow Program is available because of individual donations and investment from local partners or organizations focused on mental health and/or student success.
