JA BizTown

An important part of the mission of Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) is to inspire lifelong learning and we believe that programs like Junior Achievement's BizTown provide not only memories, but skills that each child will carry with them as they start thinking about their own futures. When visiting BizTown, students are able to know what it is like to have a job, how to manage their income, work with others, meet deadlines, and what it means to be a citizen.

It is with great honor that the CEF Board of Directors has committed to providing this JA BizTown opportunity for all Carmel Clay Schools fifth graders for three years. This investment is possible because of support from community partners, the Ghosts and Goblins 5k/2k and Taste of Carmel fundraisers, and individual contributions.

CEF is a 501(c)3 partner of Carmel Clay Schools, serving all students, teachers, and families. Annually, we provide over 100 teachers with grants that inspire innovation and engagement in their classrooms, award more than 80 graduating seniors scholarships, and fund programs like JA BizTown. We invite you to learn more about our mission, our board of directors, and our programs here on our website.

It was truly Carmel Education Foundation's pleasure to help empower your child and their classmates to be Star Citizens at JA BizTown!

The CEF board members put themselves in the shoes of our CCS fifth graders as they headed to JA BizTown for "work" and adventure! CEF is excited to provide funding for ALL 1,300+ fifth grade students to attend this hands-on simulation focused on financial literacy, workforce readiness, and lifelong learning.
