Each year, the Foundation proudly awards scholarships to 90+ Carmel High School (IN) seniors.
These scholarships have been created to help students, of all backgrounds and interests, further their education at either a college, university, or trade school.
CEF scholarships are funded through the generosity of families, organizations, and community donors. Donations to the Foundation fund several scholarships and support the administration of the application and award processes.
Start Me Up Cup
Small Business Scholarship Competition
Presented by State Bank in conjunction with Carmel Education Foundation
New this year, the State Bank Start Me Up Cup Small Business Scholarship is a unique opportunity for any Carmel High School senior who has the "next big idea" for a new product or service, or an idea to improve an existing product or service. This scholarship is all about free enterprise and the competition will be similar to every entrepreneurs favorite show, "Shark Tank".
Initial applications will be submitted as an elevator pitch via video. Up to 10 applicants will then be selected to prepare a business plan and to present a live pitch to a panel of local judges consisting of bankers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. A grand prize entrepreneur will receive seed money of $2,000 and a runner up entrepreneur will receive $1,000.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Deadline for FAFSA application for Indiana students is June 2022. To be considered for a CEF scholarship that has financial need criteria, applicants will need to include their Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) form that has been completed prior to the March 15, 2022 CEF Scholarship application deadline.
Locate the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) on the FAFSA confirmation page.
If you are a student-athlete, please review the NCAA information (see link above). In some instances, student-athletes may not be able to accept a CEF athletic scholarship under NCAA rules.
Establishing new scholarships
CEF is accepting applications for both endowed and pass through (annual) scholarships from individuals, families, or community members. Scholarships are often established in honor of, or in memory of, someone who has had a significant interest in, or impact on, education. Information on the process can be downloaded below. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
