Greetings Carmel High School (IN) seniors!  We are pleased you are interested in a Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) Scholarship. CEF Scholarships have a wide range of criteria and focus areas, and more than 100 students will receive a scholarship. You will likely qualify for several CEF scholarships, however, each applicant may only receive one scholarship. All application materials must be submitted by 5:00 pm EST, March 1, 2024.

Each scholarship includes eligibility criteria and is categorized by primary focus (general, CCS school attendance, clubs/programs/special interests, polytechnic and trades, performing arts, athletics, and post-secondary interest). If an essay or additional information is required, that is noted, along with the essay question or what additional information is required.

Application process

• PART ONE- Register with Kaleidoscope to revisit your application as often as needed.
• PART TWO- Answer a series of questions to determine which scholarships you qualify for.  
• PART THREE- Review the CEF scholarships you qualify for. 

  • If a scholarship requires an essay, a recommendation, or an upload, simply click on the title to respond to the question. You may also pin a draft to your account for later review.

  • If no essay is required, you will be automatically considered for that scholarship.

• An email address that you regularly check and is not a CCS address (no parent addresses).

• If you would like to be considered for scholarships that have a financial need criteria, please have a screenshot/image of your FAFSA submission email or confirmation including the Student Aid Index (SAI) and your name from your 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application. FAFSA application opens December 2023- you may upload your submission email or confirmation (any file type) at any time before March 1, 2024. FAFSA forms will only be viewed by CEF staff for verification. Note: CEF is aware of the current FAFSA challenges and will provide applicants with next steps on how to submit their FAFSA documentation if not available at time of application. This communication to applicants will take place after the application deadline and will include an alternate way to submit this documentation to CEF.

• A list, in priority order, of colleges, universities, trade schools, or certification programs you have applied to. CEF will connect with all applicants to verify your commitments after May 1, 2024.

Timeline

• November 15, 2023 - Application Opens

• March 1, 2024, 5:00 pm EST - Application Closes

• By May 4, 2024 - Applicants notified of status via email

• May 14, 2024 - Award presentation at Carmel High School
