Dear PTE Families,

We have had a great start to 2022!  Your children come to school every day ready to learn and engage in their daily activities.  Thank you so much for ensuring that they are getting a great night’s sleep, and they are arriving on time and ready to go each morning.  As parents, you are a critical link to our student success.  Please make sure your child is completing their math home links and reading each night.  If your child does not have a math home link, he or she can always practice math facts for 10 minutes each night.  The more fluent they become with their facts, the better they will be with all future operations.

As we progress through the winter season, our Lost and Found continues to grow.  If you are missing items, please feel free to come and look for them.  We have winter coats, sweatshirts, plenty of hats, gloves, and mittens.  Let’s get these items back to their owners!

Each week, I encourage you to check your schedules and update the School Dismissal Manager.  We are unable to process changes after 1:15pm each day, so we need you to put any changes into the system before that time.  In the interest of student safety and security, it is essential that student dismissal instructions are correct by 1:15pm, so dismissal runs smoothly. Thanks for helping us out by making these changes in a timely manner.

Carmel Clay Schools and Prairie Trace PTO have some fun events coming up in the Spring.  Mark your calendars for Taste of Carmel on March 3rd.  Tickets are already available on the Carmel Education Foundation website.  This is one of our favorite events to attend each year.  The Prairie Trace Parents’ Night Out is scheduled for April 22nd.  I can’t wait to see all of our parents mingling and having a great time together.  Hope you can join us for one or both of these great events that earn money for our awesome students!

Thanks for all of your support this year!  Our students are wrapping up their NWEA assessments this week, and we can’t wait to see the growth from the year and where we need to continue to grow during this last semester.

We are better together,

Mrs. Piper

CAFETERIA VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

help our PTE students dine safely

and comfortably!

We need parents just like you to help us in the cafeteria during lunch time.  As a cafeteria helper, you will help the children find a seat, open their lunch items, get all the extras (think parmesan cheese, ketchup, napkins, and utensils!), and maintain PTE lunch room standards!  ...all while getting to socialize with your kiddos and their friends. (We all love seeing your FB and Instagram selfies!)
This is a way to help out in the school, get to know all of your child's classmates, and interact with the staff at PTE.

YES, I WANT TO HELP!
