You So Totally Rock Power Drive
We’re 55% to our goal of $15,000. Any amount helps so even though the suggested donation is $50 per student, we realize that may be more than you are comfortable with giving. $5, $10, and $25 donations help us reach our goal and are just as much appreciated.
The PTO’s annual budget depends on this $15,000 so we can pay for a field trip for every student, offer after school clubs, add resources to each classroom, the media center & maker space. In addition to Muffins with Me mornings, classroom parties, 100 Book Club, and many other PTO sponsored programs that enrich your child’s educational experience.
When we meet our goal of $15,000 the kids will be rewarded with a school wide teachers vs. students kickball game! So please make your Power Drive donation today.

Your Action is Needed
Carmel Clay Schools is studying the extent of internet access for our students in order to help with future programming development. Please complete the following form by clicking on the link, Student Internet Access for EACH child that attends Mohawk Trails Elementary. It is very important that we have this information for every student, so please complete this by September 10th, 2019. As a reminder, your child’s student ID number can be found by logging in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Mark your calendars for the CEF Ghosts & Goblin Run
The 11th Annual Ghosts & Goblins Presented by the: Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) is a fundraising event to benefit the Carmel Clay Schools through education grants. Help MTE bring home the trophy for most participants.
Important Before School Information
If your student is attending a before school club (Broadcast, Spell Bowl) please do not drop them off before 7:25 am. Students will wait in vestibule unsupervised prior to this time. Front office staff will let students enter the building at 7:30 am. Club sponsors have been instructed to come to the front lobby to escort students to the classroom. This procedure does not include Choir members who should be dropped off at Door 21 with Mr. McBride.
Morning Carpool
Students should not arrive to school prior to 7:50 am. Students will wait in vestibule unsupervised until 8:00 am for breakfast students and 8:05 am for remaining students to go to their classrooms. If you need to drop off your student prior to 7:50 am, before school care is available through the Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation.
After School Club Information
MTE offers after school enrichment opportunities for students through a variety of clubs lead by our wonderful teachers. Descriptions and meeting dates can be found on our website by clicking on the link https://www.ccs.k12.in.us/mte/student-life/clubs-activities. Sponsors will inform students when applications are due. Please have your student listen to morning announcements for information.
PTO Volunteer Opportunities!
Are you looking for ways you can volunteer at Mohawk? We are looking to fill a roster of people that can help out when needed throughout the school year. This is an opportunity to help when your schedule aligns. Some of the opportunities that might be needed: help with picture day, Special Area teacher tasks, extra recesses, etc...

It is that time of year again for MTE’s 100 Book Club. Remember, 100 Book Club is an optional, at-home reading program designed to encourage our students to read continuously and consistently between now and the end of the school year. Like in previous years, the goal is the same: read and be rewarded!!! Booklets came home this week so you can start anytime!! Lost & Found
Our lost and found already has a number of items !! We have lunch boxes, water bottles, jackets and sweatshirts. If your student is missing an item, please have them check the lost and found at its new location in the First Grade/Kindergarten hallway near door #6.
