You So Totally Rock Power Drive--Help us reach our goal!!
FINAL DAYS TO DONATE!
If you have not donated to the You SO Totally Rock Power Drive yet, please send in your donation. We need YOUR help to reach 100% of our goal so we can fund a field trip for every student, have book authors visit the school, hold class parties, and all the other fun things the PTO supports for ALL of the students at Mohawk Trails.
Thank you so much to the families that have helped us reach 80% of our goal! We still have 20% to go so please make a donation of $50 per student or any amount that you can by the deadline of September 20, 2019! All donations of any size help and are just as much appreciated!
If we reach our goal by September 20th, the students get to challenge the teachers to an all school kickball game!
Your Action is Needed
Carmel Clay Schools is studying the extent of internet access for our students in order to help with future programming development. It is very important that we have this information for every student, so please complete this by September 10th, 2019. As a reminder, your child’s student ID number can be found by logging in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

On Friday, October 25th, please have your child come to school in a black shirt and black pants if possible. We will be asking parent volunteers to come in and help us tape dots on every student’s shirt. The entire school will become one large group of dominoes. If you are creative and would like to make your child’s domino shirt ahead of time, go for it! We will have helpers Friday morning taping dots on shirts of students who need them.
We can’t wait to see “the domino effect”!
As a school family, we work independently as do dominoes. When we do something kind for someone else it can impact another person. In the Domino Effect, one good behavior impacts a positive change in another! We are “counting” on you to take part and be a positive change in others in our MTE School Family!
Are you looking for ways you can volunteer at Mohawk? We are looking to fill a roster of people that can help out when needed throughout the school year. This is an opportunity to help when your schedule aligns. Some of the opportunities that might be needed: help with picture day, Special Area teacher tasks, extra recesses, etc...
If you have questions or are interested in being included on this roster please email firstname.lastname@example.org
It is that time of year again for MTE’s 100 Book Club. Remember, 100 Book Club is an optional, at-home reading program designed to encourage our students to read continuously and consistently between now and the end of the school year. Like in previous years, the goal is the same: read and be rewarded!!! Booklets came home this week so you can start anytime!! Please direct any questions to Missy Countryman at email@example.com
