MTE Annual Food Drive to Benefit the Hamilton County Food Bank
November 11-December 4th
MTE Student Council will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Hamilton County Food bank beginning November 11th. Their goal for this year is 3,000 pounds. Each grade level will decide on goal and reward for this event. Click here for more information.
MTE Veteran's Day Program Tuesday, November 12th, 9:00 am
Wear Red White & Blue to school!
Local Veterans and/or Armed Forces members with a connection to MTE and their MTE families are invited to attend our Veteran’s Day program on Tuesday, November 12th. Veteran's and their families should arrive between 8:10 am and 8:30 am. The program will begin at 8:30 am.
MTE is putting together a picture slideshow of veterans of MTE students. Please submit photos and RSVP at http://www.mcbridemusic.com/mteveteransday.html. (Families who completed this in the past do not need to resubmit photos. Photos previously submitted will remain in the slideshow.)
Due to space, this event is limited to Veterans, their families, Choir students and their families.
Mohawk Trails Winter Wonderland Program
We are proud to present the 5th Annual Winter Wonderland Program this year to help any MTE students and families that may be in need in the coming months. The Winter Wonderland Program anonymously connects families in need to those with a desire to help. Items requested through this program are placed on a snowflake on a bulletin board located near the front of the school. Each snowflake represents an item that has been thoughtfully requested by the child's parent or guardian to ensure that the child is receiving items that he or she both needs and wants this season.

The PTO will again be accepting any excess, overstocked or unwanted Halloween candy to use for PTO event prizes throughout the year…specifically Carnival! We had a terrific response to this last year and would like to try it again. Please drop off individual sized wrapped candy to the front office. Thank you.
Kdg. Grade Muffins with Me Thursday, November 14th, 7:30-8:00 am
Calling all Kdg. Grade Parents!
Join your Kdg. Mohawk Trails Elementary student for a special free breakfast before school. The Muffins With Me event is Thursday, November 14th from 7:30-8:00am.
Please have your student check the lost and found for lost items. We have ran out of room! Items will be donated if not claimed. Thank you.
Please write student's first and last name in all coats and jackets. This will help alleviate overflow in our lost and found.
Textbook/Consumable Fees Due November 12, 2019
Textbook and consumable fees will be due for each student in your household by November 12, 2019. Payments can be made online through your Powerschool Parent Portal via this link: Powerschool Parent Portal . For instructions on how to pay online click here. Payment can also be made by check payable to Carmel Clay Schools. Please send checks to the front office.
5th Grade Music Program:
Come enjoy this year’s Fifth Grade Music Program based on the book Stone Soup by Jon J Muth.
Who’s performing? 5th grade students & the MTE Orff Ensemble
When? Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 6:30pm. Students should arrive to their starting positions by 6:20pm in the gym that evening.
What's happening? Students will sing, move, and play a variety of instruments, including drums, xylophones, and recorders. Students will perform music they created in music classes throughout this semester.
What do they wear? Students may come dressed as villagers. Clothing might include a scholar’s robes, farmer outfits, bakers attire, teachers/professional attire, and the like from characters in the story.
