Counseling & Social Work
School Social Workers
Each of our 11 elementary schools has at least one School Social Worker who understands elementary programs, including curriculum, special programs, and the intervention process. Carmel Clay Elementary School Social Workers are dual licensed professionals with specific education to support students’ social/emotional, behavioral and mental health needs. School social workers connect students and families with community and school resources and provide education and instruction to all students by supporting school-wide initiatives and individual needs.
Emergency Intervention
If you are in immediate danger please contact 911 or dial 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Students, parents, and community members are encouraged to use our anonymous reporting system, StopIt, to notify school administration about a student or individual in need of assistance, potential threats, or danger. If you see something, please say something, so that we can do something.

School social workers provide social/emotional support for students so that all learners have the skills necessary to thrive.
