This committee is responsible for welcoming new families to Clay Center by hosting events that help them connect with our school and with other new families, such as a Newcomers’ Coffee events to welcome new parents.  The New Families Outreach committee also coordinates some charity events to help local organizations, such as coat drives, books drives, etc.

This committee is comprised of Room Parents from every classroom within Clay Center. There are generally 2-3 meetings throughout the year where the Room Parents have the opportunity to come together. They work to coordinate events to ensure every Comet classroom within each grade is having a great celebration experience that is similar and fun!

This committee provides a pivotal service to our Specials teachers by coordinating volunteering opportunities in their classrooms throughout the year. This could involve routine circulation desk tasks in Media Center, teaching kids sports activities in Wellness, or helping with our art fundraiser.

This committee works with the promotion company to select and design spirit wear items for each new school year.  Designs have already been selected, but volunteers are always needed to help man tables to sell spirit wear at CCE events throughout the year (back to school social, CCE tailgate, etc).

chosen school photography company and utilizing their online system to create the yearbook. The committee members attend various events at the school throughout the year to get lots of great pictures to fill the yearbook with!
