The CHS Top Scholars Recognition will undergo a transition in the spring of 2024. For the 2023-2024 school year, the Top Scholars program will recognize students in grades 11 and 12 who have earned excellent grades.  Consideration for this recognition is determined by students’ cumulative GPA once first semester grades are finalized in the current year. CHS administration adjusts thresholds each year, recognizing roughly 3% of students with outstanding grade point averages. Students recognized during the 2022-23 school year maintained GPAs of 4.45 as juniors and 4.55 as seniors. CHS seniors who are designated as Top Scholars and/or who qualify to be Distinguished Graduates are invited to participate in an evening recognition program in April.  For the 2024-2025 school year, CHS will transition this program to recognizing CHS Distinguished Graduates at the evening program in April.

This year's Senior Top Scholars/Distinguished Graduate Celebration will be held in conjunction with the CHS Hall of Fame Induction on April 22, 2024. The in-person event will be limited to seniors, their two guests, honored mentors, and school administrators. Juniors will be recognized separately for their achievements. Notification of selection will be sent to parents via email in February.

Prom is 8 PM to 11 PM at 502 East Event Centre, 502 East Carmel Drive.

After Prom is at Carmel High School 11 PM to 2 AM.

Note: A prom ticket is good for the After Prom too! Tickets are good for one event or the other or both.

CHS "After Dark" event will be held at CHS from 11pm until 1am on May 4th.  More details will be available soon!

Welcome Week

Stop by our PTO tables located in main lobby of high school by Door#1.  You will be able to pick up your "Back to School" Spirit Wear orders as well as have option to learn more about PTO, donate and pick up for free keychain for donations that are $25+.  

July 31: 8am-7pm (9th-12th grades)

August 1: 8am-7pm (10th &11th grades)

August 2: 8am-7pm (All grades & Freshman Kickoff)

August 3: 3-7pm (All grades)

We need LOTS of help! 

Set up Saturday morning  9-11:30am

The event that evening 7:15pm-11pm. 🙂

Keep in mind that there will be approximately 1500 students in attendance. The dance is actually located in the Fieldhouse, where only CHS Staff chaperone this part.  Parents are helping in the Freshman Cafe, Greyhound Station, Varsity Gym and exits providing adult supervision. Connect with a friend and sit back/relax. It isn't a hard volunteer gig.  You'll have time to take pics of your child attending prior to them grabbing dinner. Volunteers come about 7:15pm. Doors open for the kids at 8pm.
