Immunization Information from the Nurse
Parents of Current 5th Grade Students and Incoming K students (2020 - 2021), call the doctor's office today to set the appointment for your child to receive required immunizations for the 2020 -2021 School Year so that you have the date on your calendar. If you wait, appointments are more difficult to get and may delay your child staring school in August.
Once the immunizations are given, make sure that information is sent to the appropriate building School Nurse. If you have questions about your child's required immunizations, feel free to contact me.
Mrs. Lukes, R.N.
NEW Policy for Volunteers & Lunch Room Visitors
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Mohawk Trails began following this policy Thursday, February 6th
Carmel Clay Schools continues to take proactive steps to keep our students and staff safe. On January 27, 2020, the Carmel Clay School Board approved changes to Policy 8120-Volunteers.
This policy requires volunteers and visitors in classrooms and lunchrooms to have a background check completed and reviewed every three years. The previous policy required background checks for volunteers every five years and did not require background checks for classroom or lunchroom visitors.
If you currently have a background check on file with Carmel Clay Schools, there is no action to be taken at this time. You will be notified via email prior to your background check expiring.
For individuals needing a background check, please visit https://www.ccs.k12.in.us/services/volunteer-information.
If you have multiple students who attend multiple schools in Carmel, you only need one criminal background check. The cost for a background check is *$13.95. If you have lived outside of Hamilton County or the state of Indiana, there may be additional costs associated with the background request.
Thank you for your support in helping create a safe environment for our students and staff.
Cell Phone Use Policy
Please review our district's Student Cell Phone Policy below. Speak with your students about this policy so they understand. If you would like to review any other school policies please click on the link to view the Student Handbook. Thank you.
