Spotlight on: Silent Auction and Parents' Night Out


Night Out and Auction Feb 21 from 7 to 10 pm

Did you know the Silent Auction is one of PTE’s BIGGEST fundraisers?  The Money WE RAISE helps provide amazing opportunities for our children:

  • Classroom materials
  • Alternative seating

  • Field trips

  • Schoolwide programs and assemblies

  • Teacher support

  • Technology...and MORE!

Our best silent auction donations come from people we know in the community! That includes you as parents, business owners and service providers. There are several ways you can support the Silent Auction. Read on to find out more.

Silent Auction donations are due Friday, February 7. 

We welcome all types of donations!

PTE Needs Your Support!

Whether you’re a business owner, would like to donate on behalf of your family or work for a company that likes to support local fundraisers (or match your donation!), we would love to hear from you! You can sponsor student activities at Prairie Trace while promoting your products and services during Prairie Trace’s Parent's Night Out (PNO) taking place on Friday, February 21, 2020!

Sponsorship packages range from $100 to $500. Some include free tickets to PNO! Parents' Night Out is Friday, Feb. 21!

Book your favorite babysitter and get ready for a night out celebrating PTE!

Enjoy a casual evening of light snacks, libations, camaraderie & a photographer to document the night. This is a great time to meet new friends, catch up with old ones and peruse Silent Auction items all while supporting and celebrating PTE!

Discounted tickets are on sale now through Friday, February 14:

  • $20.50/single, $41/couple
  • (Teachers/Staff discounted tickets are $10.25/single, $20.50/couple).
  • Full-price tickets can be purchased at the PNO event via cash or check ONLY: $25/single, $50/couple (Teachers/Staff full-price tickets are $15/single, $30/couple).

Bidding is available on your smartphone, tablet or computer. To bid, you MUST register. If you purchase PNO tickets online, you will automatically be registered in the Silent Auction.  Once registered, you will receive a text message with a link. Girls on the Run: Starting at End of February!

Now Registering 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls 

Girls on the Run is an after-school program that meets twice per week for 10 weeks. Girls will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels and learn important life skills.  The season ends with a noncompetitive 5k event.

2020 M.A.T.H. Bowl Team Tryouts on Feb. 25

Calling all 4th and 5th graders who like math.  It’s time to try out for the 2020 M.A.T.H. Bowl Team.  Tryouts will be Tuesday, February 25  after school until 3:30 pm in Mrs. Awe’s room.  There is no preparation for trying out, but you must sign up; you will be given a short test.  The Top 20 scores will make the team. 

Team practices will be after school 1-2 times per week with the final competition taking place Tuesday, April 14 at 5 pm.  To sign up for try outs, please use the following link:

The winter Box Tops contest will run February 3-10. The class that collects the most will earn a popcorn party! Please submit non-expired traditional Box Tops using the form that will be provided. Don't forget--the next 5th Grade Event is at Urban Air on Tuesday, Feb 4 from 4 - 6pm.  

Tickets $30 purchase by Jan 26th Includes pizza, drinks, and socks

Parent Volunteers Needed for Upcoming Art Show

Mrs. Carnahan is requesting help from parents to organize and set up the schoolwide Art Show on March 11. We will be working on the show Thursday afternoons after school.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Label and mat student artwork
  • Set up on day of Art Show 
  • Lead organization and advertising
  • Lend blacklights to be used the night of the show

Kindergarten Registration for 2020-21 School Year is Open!

Parents/guardians are encouraged to have students enrolled by Friday, March 6, 2020. Students must be at least 5 years old by September 1, 2020 to start kindergarten in August 2020.
