PTE Needs Your Support!
Whether you’re a business owner, would like to donate on behalf of your family or work for a company that likes to support local fundraisers (or match your donation!), we would love to hear from you! You can sponsor student activities at Prairie Trace while promoting your products and services during Prairie Trace’s Parent's Night Out (PNO) taking place on Friday, February 21, 2020!
Sponsorship packages range from $100 to $500. Some include free tickets to PNO! All sponsorships are tax deductible and include advertisements on our Silent Auction website and at our PNO event. Parents' Night Out is Friday, Feb. 21!
Book your favorite babysitter and get ready for a night out celebrating PTE!

Enjoy a casual evening of light snacks, libations, camaraderie & a photographer to document the night. This is a great time to meet new friends, catch up with old ones and peruse Silent Auction items all while supporting and celebrating PTE!

- (Teachers/Staff discounted tickets are $10.25/single, $20.50/couple).
- Full-price tickets can be purchased at the PNO event via cash or check ONLY: $25/single, $50/couple (Teachers/Staff full-price tickets are $15/single, $30/couple).

Bidding is available on your smartphone, tablet or computer. To bid, you MUST register. If you purchase PNO tickets online, you will automatically be registered in the Silent Auction. Once registered, you will receive a text message with a link. When the auction is live you will be able to bid, see photos, read descriptions, and set up automated bidding. Girls on the Run: Starting at End of February!
Now Registering 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls
Girls on the Run is an after-school program that meets twice per week for 10 weeks. Girls will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels and learn important life skills. The season ends with a noncompetitive 5k event.

PTE Spirit Day: Brunch Buffet on Feb. 9!
2020 M.A.T.H. Bowl Team Tryouts on Feb. 25
Calling all 4th and 5th graders who like math. It’s time to try out for the 2020 M.A.T.H. Bowl Team. Tryouts will be Tuesday, February 25 after school until 3:30 pm in Mrs. Awe’s room. There is no preparation for trying out, but you must sign up; you will be given a short test. The Top 20 scores will make the team.
Team practices will be after school 1-2 times per week with the final competition taking place Tuesday, April 14 at 5 pm. To sign up for try outs, please use the following link:

It's time to order your Prairie Trace Yearbooks! We are now accepting orders for the 2019-2020 PTE Yearbook, designed and created by our own PTE Yearbook Club. The deadline to order is Friday, March 6. Yearbooks are $18 each and will be delivered in May.

Box Tops App Contest February 3 - 10
EARN A POPCORN PARTY!
The winter Box Tops contest will run February 3-10. The class that collects the most will earn a popcorn party! Please submit non-expired traditional Box Tops using the form that will be provided. Electronic Box Tops may be earned for Prairie Trace using the free Box Tops for Education app. Instructions on how to download can be accessed by clicking the link below.

Don't forget--the next 5th Grade Event is at Urban Air on Tuesday, Feb 4 from 4 - 6pm.
Parent Volunteers Needed for Upcoming Art Show
Mrs. Carnahan is requesting help from parents to organize and set up the schoolwide Art Show on March 11. We will be working on the show Thursday afternoons after school.
Volunteers are needed to:
- Label and mat student artwork
- Set up on day of Art Show
- Lead organization and advertising
- Lend blacklights to be used the night of the show

Tips for Fighting Germs at School
Kindergarten Registration for 2020-21 School Year is Open!
Parents/guardians are encouraged to have students enrolled by Friday, March 6, 2020. Students must be at least 5 years old by September 1, 2020 to start kindergarten in August 2020.

Now Hiring Food Service Staff for Carmel Schools
Carmel Clay Food & Nutritional Services is hiring Food Service staff to work in our school cafeterias. Currently, we have several 4-6 hour positions and substitute positions available. This position pays $13.29/hour.
