school dismissal manager - don't forget!
Now that afterschool clubs are starting, please remember to change your child's default dismissal by 1:15pm each day in School Dismissal Manager by submitting an exception. This is extremely important for your child to get to where they need to go at the end of the day.
be an exam proctor

Free ESE Late Start Before School Program
Late start school days happen 1-2 Wednesdays each month. On late start days, ESE offers a free before school program for all CCS elementary school students. To participate in this program, pre-registration is required.
The ESE late start before school program is offered from 7-8:20 a.m. and school breakfast is provided. The next ESE late start before school program is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21..
Registration just takes a few minutes and is free. For your child to participate in the ESE late start before school program, they must be enrolled in our EZChildTrack system prior to the beginning of the late start program day. We strongly discourage enrolling your child day-of and may not be able to accept the child into the program.
the race to prairie trace is on!
The Race to Prairie Trace kick off is Monday, September 12th and the Fun Run takes place September 21st. Our students and staff are so excited! Register & share today to help our school reach our goal of $40,000 for students & staff. Thank you for supporting our school - we are grateful for our amazing school community!
Let's celebrate our teachers and staff and fill them up with goodies! Please sign up to bring in snacks or drinks for our teachers on September 21. This is a late start morning. Items can be delivered to Lindsay Ohmer or Jill Griffiths by Tuesday evening. Items can also be delivered to the school during morning car pool.
are you missing something??
Please remind your children to check the lost and found for any of their belongings. It's getting full and we haven't even started losing hats and gloves yet!
Dear PTE Families,
Thanks again for a wonderful start to the year! We have appreciated all of the help from parent volunteers and our PTO! Our staff has done a wonderful job getting to know your children and diving into their curriculum. We had a great turn out at our Meet the Teacher Nights. Thanks for going above and beyond for your children and connecting with their teachers. We look forward to seeing you again in November for conferences when the teachers can talk more in depth about academic progress.
I just wanted to take a moment to remind you about our arrival and dismissal procedures. If you are carpool, please ensure that your child is ready to get out of the car in the morning. If you are dropping your child off, and there is no staff member outside, that means your child is late, and you need to walk them in and sign them in at the office. There should be no cars entering the back parking lot during arrival and dismissal. If students are walkers, then they are walkers. We need to ensure that no cars are driving through the lot when we are loading buses and when students are leaving the school at the end of the day.
Race to Prairie Trace Fun Run is coming soon! We already met our first goal of $10,000, and our students earned a pajama day on Friday! We will kick off the special event on Monday. There will be incentives along the way, and students will work with their class to increase their participation. We can’t wait for the day of the Fun Run on the 21st!
We have many important events planned at PTE! Remember, if you are ever wanting to volunteer, you must have an updated background check on file.

CAFETERIA VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We need parents just like you to help us in the cafeteria during lunch time. As a cafeteria helper, you will help the children find a seat, open their lunch items, get all the extras (think parmesan cheese, ketchup, napkins, and utensils!), and maintain PTE lunch room standards! ...all while getting to socialize with your kiddos and their friends. (We all love seeing your FB and Instagram selfies!)
This is a way to help out in the school, get to know all of your child's classmates, and interact with the staff at PTE.
