Dear Prairie Trace Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well and you are enjoying the blossoming spring season. Hopefully, you had an awesome spring break, and you were able to enjoy the solar eclipse with your family. Thank you to PTO for providing us with the glasses!  As we move further into April, I wanted to share some exciting updates and information with you.

** International Fair: The International Fair will be next Friday, April 19th!  We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the students and families who will be sharing information at a booth. It is a wonderful showcase of cultural diversity and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who is contributing to making this event a success.

** Math Bowl Team: Let's give a round of applause to our brilliant Math Bowl Team for their outstanding performance in the recent competition. Their dedication, hard work, and mathematical prowess have truly shone through, and we couldn't be prouder of their achievements. Special thanks to Carly Davis for leading this team!

** Fun Folk Dance Night: Fourth grade students and families kicked up their heels and joined us for a night of fun and dancing at our Folk Dance Night on Thursday! It was an evening filled with lively music, and plenty of laughter. We had so much fun together!  Thank you to Mr. Poticha for leading the evening!

** Standardized Testing (ILEARN)  Reminder: As a reminder, standardized testing will be starting on Monday for grades 3 through 5.  Please ensure that your child is well-rested, nourished, and prepared for these assessments. Your support and encouragement during this time are greatly appreciated. If your child will be absent or has an appointment, please let their teacher know, so we can plan accordingly.

** PTO-Sponsored PE Activity: Our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is excited to sponsor a fun activity in PE next week! Rope Warriors will be here for each class and end the week with a fun culminating convocation for all students. We can’t wait to see the fun and lessons that are provided during this time. Thanks to PTO for helping us bring these great events to our schools.

As always, we deeply appreciate your continued support and involvement in our school community. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Together, we can make the end of the school year a truly memorable and enriching experience for our students.

Warm regards,

Kim Piper
Principal
