Consider a PTO Director position! 

 

There are positions for any interest, and EVERY Director level position can have more than one Director. So, grab a friend and have fun!  Whether you are interested in a particular position or wish to learn more about the many ways you can help, please fill out the 2021 / 22 PTO Interest Form for the 2021/22 school year. Filling out this form in no way commits you to a position.  It is just a way for us to gauge interest.

Please complete this interest form by Friday, April 30. We would like to finalize our slate of Directors by the end of the school year.

Live Follett Spring Book Fair May 10 - 14

 

Shout it from the rooftops! The PTO is ecstatic to announce we will be hosting a live Follett Spring Book Fair May 10-14! Virtual students are invited to shop 8 - 9am on Monday, May 10th, with in-person students shopping during their media center and computer lab classes. For even more convenience, families, relatives and friends are welcome to shop through an eFair option as well.

We can't wait to prepare our students for all-summer-long reading adventures! More details will be coming your way soon.

 

PARENTS NIGHT OUT & SILENT AUCTION

Book your favorite babysitter and get ready for a night out celebrating PTE! PNO is just around the corner on Friday, June 4 at Prairie View Golf Club (7-10 pm).  Enjoy a casual evening of light snacks, libations, & camaraderie to document the night. This will be a great time to meet new friends, catch up with old ones and peruse Silent Auction items--all while supporting and celebrating PTE!

* Tickets will be available for purchase in early May. *

  • Tickets purchased during the month of May will be at a discounted rate of $20.50/single, $41/couple
  • Teachers/Staff discounted tickets are $10.25/single, $20.50/couple).
  • Full-price tickets can be purchased at the PNO event via cash or check ONLY: $25/single, $50/couple (Teachers/Staff full-price tickets are $15/single, $30/couple).

Help Support the Silent Auction!

 

Did you know the Silent Auction is one of PTE’s BIGGEST fundraisers? Money raised helps provide:

  • Classroom materials
  • Field trips
  • Schoolwide programs and assemblies
  • Teacher support
  • Technology
  • Alternative seating
  • .. and MORE !

Our best silent auction donations come from people we know in the community! That includes you as parents, business owners and service providers. There are a couple ways you can support the Silent Auction:

1. We welcome all types of donations!

Ideas include gift cards, "favorite things" baskets, new products, tickets, credit card points, lessons, parties, memorabilia, etc. Get your neighbors/book club/euchre group together and create a basket or donate a gift card!

It is almost time for our 5th grade students to say farewell to Prairie Trace Elementary and transition to middle school. In preparation, if your student did not attend Prairie Trace Elementary for Kindergarten or did not have a class picture taken this year, please submit a K and/or 5th grade picture for use in a year-end slide show.

Please send the digital file, along with your student’s name, to ptefifthgradeevents@gmail.com NO LATER than Friday, April 23.

What a year it has been! It is almost time for our 5th grade students to say farewell to Prairie Trace Elementary and transition to middle school. Whether in-person or virtual, we are planning some special surprises to celebrate!

5TH GRADE PARENTS: IMMUNIZATION REMINDER

We hope you enjoyed some welcome time off during Spring Break! REMINDER TO ALL 5th GRADE PARENTS: Please plan to make an appointment for your student's 6th grade immunizations if you have not done so already. They will need both MCV4 (Meningococcal) and Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) prior to entering 6th grade. Exclusions would begin 20 days after school starts, so get a jump on this now!
