Dear Prairie Trace Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well and that your family is enjoying the autumn season. We have been so lucky to have great days, so our students can have wonderful times outside at recess! Thank you to all of the families who participated in the Grandfriends’ Event. We had an amazing turnout, and it was wonderful seeing our students spend time with their special people. I can’t believe we are approaching the midpoint of the school year! I would like to take a moment to update you on some important information and events taking place at Prairie Trace.
1. Academic Progress
We are pleased to inform you that our students have been working hard and making great strides in their academic endeavors. Parent-teacher conferences were a great way to hear about all that is happening in the classroom. The second round of NWEA assessments will take place from December 4th through the 19th. Results from those assessments will be shared in January. Even though we have had parent-teacher conferences, you can always reach out to your child’s teacher to discuss progress and any concerns you may have.
2. Thanksgiving Break
Just a reminder that we do not have school on November 22-24th. Enjoy your time with family and friends. I appreciate all of your support for our Hamilton County Food Drive! Prairie Trace students and families provided A LOT of food to our local community!
3. Winter Clothing Reminder
As the weather gets colder, please ensure that your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the season. We want to make sure everyone stays warm and comfortable during outdoor activities. Also, I encourage you to put your child’s name on their winter coats and belongings. It is much easier to get them their belongings, when labels or names are on the tags. We would much rather return their warm clothes to them than have them sit in the lost and found.
