general PTO meeting - March 28th
Everyone is invited to attend the general PTO meeting on March 28 at PTE. Childcare will be provided during the meeting. If you would like to volunteer to help with childcare, please sign up using the Sign-Up Genius. Thank you for your dedication to our school!
Dear PTE Families,
I’m so proud of our PTE Hawks! They have been working so hard, and I’m excited to share the wonderful things happening at our school and continue to encourage you to take an active and supportive role within our amazing school community.
The staff at Prairie Trace is committed to serving our students and educating the whole child. Our students have been so lucky to have visiting authors, guest speakers, and fun field trips this past month. Our teachers are weaving in leadership skills each and every day, and we have so much fun celebrating our leaders at the end of each month. Students are growing each and every day due to the expertise, dedication, and professionalism of our awesome staff. Thanks for continuing the lifelong learning at home too!
Our students benefit from an amazing partnership between school and home. We have an awesome PTO that plans and executes great events. At our next PTO meeting, we will highlight the great events the PTO sponsors and share more ways that parents can get involved. Please consider joining us on March 28th for this information.
Safety is a top priority at Prairie Trace. As the weather gets warmer, I know we will have more walkers. Please take this into consideration as you drive on the streets near Prairie Trace before and after school in Haverton and in Legacy. Many students are on those sidewalks and crossing the streets. Also, if you are picking students up from school, please try not to park along Haverton as the buses are having issues going around the parked cars. Students need to always enter and exit their vehicles closest to the sidewalk as well. Please work with us to keep all of our students safe.
Fourth grade parents and caregivers: Mark your calendars for March 28th at 6:00 PM before the PTO Meeting! Please join us for an evening of Folk Dancing with your students! Mr. Poticha will lead you and your students in some fan favorite dances from Music class so you can experience a little part of your students’ music routine. These dances are catered to people of all ability levels! Come ready to move and we hope to see you there!
Here are some wonderful activities planned for our students this month:
March 13-17: Dance Marathon for Riley Spirit Week
March 17: Dance Marathon - wear green or the grade level shirts
March 20: Report cards sent home
March 22: Late start
March 24: Leadership Convocation - Better Together!
It is truly my privilege and honor to work with your children each and every day at this wonderful school. Thanks for being such a supportive school community! I appreciate you!
All the best,
Kim Piper
