Middle School Counseling & Social Work
Emergency Intervention
If you are in immediate danger please contact 911 or dial 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Students, parents, and community members are encouraged to use our anonymous reporting system, StopIt, to notify school administration about a student or individual in need of assistance, potential threats, or danger. If you see something, please say something, so that we can do something.
School Counselors
CCS Middle School Counselors are Master’s level trained and licensed educators who support all students’ academic, career and social-emotional development. Their role involves assisting students in overcoming obstacles, promoting both academic achievement and personal development. Through close collaboration with teachers, administrators, and parents, they strive to address the diverse needs of every learner, ensuring students are well-prepared for future success.
School Social Workers
CCS Middle School Social Workers are dual licensed professionals with specialized training and education to support students’ social/emotional, behavioral and mental health needs. School Social Workers are a vital link in bridging gaps between schools and families. School Social Workers partner with school and community resources to meet individual student and family needs in order to overcome barriers to optimize educational outcomes.
ASV Therapy Services
Students dealing with challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, or loss can also access onsite therapy services through a partnership with Ascension St. Vincent. This service requires parental consent and is initiated by contacting your student's counselor. Therapy services are billed through insurance like traditional medical services. The onsite collaboration allows for less interruption and easier access for our students.

NOT SURE WHO TO CONTACT?
Every middle school student has an assigned School Counselor, listed on PowerSchool. If a student or parent is unsure of who to talk to regarding an issue or concern, your assigned counselor is a great place to start!
