This information was sent out via email.

DO ELEMENTARY STUDENTS RECEIVE A POWERSCHOOL LOGIN?

No, PowerSchool logins are only created for Secondary students. 5th graders will receive their PowerSchool credentials when they begin scheduling for Middle School in the spring.

MY ACCESS ID AND PASSWORD ARE NOT WORKING. WHAT CAN I DO?

If you copied and pasted the Access ID and Password from the document you received, please try typing them in manually.

HOW DO I SWITCH BETWEEN STUDENTS?

Click on the first name in the dark blue bar at the top of the screen to switch to information unique to that student.

HOW DO I ADD ANOTHER STUDENT?

From Account Preferences, select the Student tab. Click the Add button. You will need an Access ID and Access Password to add an additional student to your account.

HOW DO I SEE ASSIGNMENTS?

From Grades and Attendance, click on the grade for the course and grading period.

How do students access PowerSchool?

Elementary

Elementary student logins do not work for PowerSchool. Fifth-grade students will get access in time for middle school scheduling.

Middle and High School

Middle and high school students should use their CCS username and password to access PowerSchool.

WHY AM I NOT SEEING ATTENDANCE INFORMATION FOR MY MIDDLE SCHOOL OR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT?

Attendance information is only available for elementary school students.

WHY SHOULD I USE THE WEB PORTAL INSTEAD OF THE APP?

The PowerSchool app is a lite version of the portal and not all information is available. For access to the full portal on your phone, you may wish to add https://powerschool.ccs.k12.in.us/public/ to your home screen or bookmark this website in your phone's browser. Follow these instructions for Android or iOS

CCS App Access Code: GKZX

Error message after logging in via the web

After logging in, an error message appears that states, "An error was detected contacting the server. Please contact customer support if this continues to occur." Once the error message is dismissed, the user is taken back to the login page.

This error message occurs when your IP address changes multiple times per login session. This behavior is not allowed by PowerSchool and so it logs the user out. If you are accessing PowerSchool from home, please contact your local internet provider to find a solution. If you are attempting to access PowerSchool while at work, consider accessing PowerSchool from home instead, or contact your workplace IT department.
