We are excited to announce a new professional development resource to help you learn to design your Canvas course using the new CCS Canvas design guidelines and template, and to help you utilize all the different Canvas tools and features!
Canvas PD modules can be found in our public-facing Canvas course. Since the course is public-facing, it won't appear on your Canvas dashboard, but in addition to bookmaking it, you can also find the course linked in the staff portal, on the virtual learning for teachers page, and on the Tech Drop page.
This week’s modules will guide you through how to set up your course using the new CCS Design Guidelines and template. Modules include:
- Request a Sandbox Course
- Import a Course Template from the CCS Commons
- Select Your Home Page
- Manage Course Navigation Links
- Use Course Announcements
CCS Tech Drops will be released weekly throughout the summer, as new Canvas professional development modules are added to the course. Next week’s modules will include:
- Start Your Modules
- Add Course Content from a Previous Year
- Create Agendas Using Pages
