Up Your Canvas Game

Passport to Canvas

Students may come to class with lots of savvy when it comes to using technology for fun and entertainment - using technology for academic work is often another story. Canvas has created a course to help! Passport to Canvas was designed to help students get up and running quickly. Aimed at middle and high school students, the nine modules guide students through what they need to know to be successful. If you import the course content into a sandbox course, you could also pick and choose the pieces your students need help with to add to a current course. It might also be a great tool to help you evaluate your own course from a student's perspective!

Training Services Portal

Canvas has created a brand new training portal made up of video tutorials and learning pathways. Teachers can access the Training Services Portal at any time from the Canvas help menu. You'll need to authenticate with your account the first time your visit the site. Note: Some services require a subscription to access.

Indiana Canvas Users Course

There are many school districts around the state that use Canvas as their LMS. This group just recently created a Canvas course to share resources and stay in contact. Anyone can join (you'll need to create an account within Zionsville's Canvas instance) if you'd like to collaborate with other K-12 Indiana Canvas Users.
