DONATE YOUR COATS – Once your family out-grows their coats & winter wear (hats, mittens, gloves, boots & snowpants) wash and donate them for redistribution to families in Hamilton Co, IN at no charge.

The Media Center is always looking for volunteers to help out in the media center. We have several hundred students and staff that visit us each week for book exchange, research and class lessons.  We can always use more smiling faces and helping hands!

Our parent volunteers do a variety of tasks.  They supervise material check-in and check-out, shelve books, assist students as they search for books and work on projects/research, or create displays.

If this is your first time volunteering, please email Mrs. Vahle after looking at the SignUp and plan to shadow another veteran volunteer. I do have to keep the office advised of new volunteers.

Birthday Book Club Order Form 

All volunteers must have a criminal history background check done prior to volunteering at school.  If you are a new volunteer, please make certain you have a completed Criminal History Background Check on file.  If you have multiple students who attend multiple schools in Carmel, you only need one criminal background check.  Your student's school administration will be contacted when the criminal background report is complete.

Criminal History Background Check

Carmel Clay Schools requires all visitors to check in using our visitor management system. When visitors enter a school building, they are required to scan their driver’s license or state identification card for a check of their record and then wear a badge issued by the system while in the school. As our visitors leave the school, they scan and return that badge to front office staff.
