CHS Welcomes Two New Assistant Principals

Carmel, IN – Carmel High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Katie Overbeck and Ms. ShaDe’ Watson as Assistant Principals. Their selection follows a rigorous interview process where they emerged as standout candidates from a competitive field.

Mrs. Overbeck brings over 27 years of educational experience to Carmel High School, with a diverse background including roles as a classroom teacher, PLC leader, IB Diploma Program Coordinator, student government advisor, coach, and GKOM sponsor. Her dedication to fostering positive relationships and her deep-rooted commitment to the school community will be invaluable as the school navigates future educational initiatives.

Ms. Watson joins Carmel High School with 11 years of experience in education, including seven years in school leadership as both an assistant principal and principal. Her leadership has been characterized by a focus on high expectations, collaboration, and fostering a positive learning environment. Ms. Watson's proven track record of improving academic and behavioral outcomes underscores her readiness to contribute to the school's continued success.
