Due to a nationwide labor shortage, combined with a long-standing bus driver shortage Carmel Clay Schools has had to make changes to the school day. In order to maximize our available staff, school bell times have been adjusted to allow for a modified 3-tier system. 

New Bell Times:

Elementary Schools: 7:40 am - 2:25 pm
Middle Schools: 8:25 am - 3:25 pm
High School: 9:05 am - 4:05 pm

New Late Start Day Bell Times:

Elementary Schools: 8:20 am
Middle Schools: 9:05 am
High School: 9:45 am

Transportation Updates:

To further reduce ridership in the district, "No-Bus Zones" have been created using a modified 1-mile radius around schools with consideration for major roadways and intersections. Students in these zones will not have transportation provided by CCS. 

To help ease congestion in the morning, elementary schools will now open at 7:15 am for free before school care. If your student plans to arrive consistently between 7:15 am - 7:30 am please notify your school so that proper staffing is ensured.
